Material is carefully and chronologically mounted and indexed, and includes details of the early settlement of Port Phillip; handwritten copies of serveral issues of the Melbourne Advertiser; a letter from Fawkner to his father in Hobart Town, 1845 and a copy of the Loyal Address presented to H.R.H. Prince Alfred by the Old Colonists of Victoria. Index inside front cover.
